The available sales data is market-specific, so registrations from different countries should not be added into a global total. Stellantis reported a United States year-over-year increase, while company releases provide country-level snapshots for Germany, Poland and Brazil.

Market and period Jeep Compass result Measure
United States, 2024 vs 2023 16% Sales change
Germany, 2022 9,903 New registrations
Germany, 2022 vs 2021 58.1% Registration change
Poland, January–April 2024 416 Registrations
Poland, April 2024 108 Sales
Brazil, January–September 2024 35,335 Registrations
Brazil, September 2024 3,794 Sales

The Stellantis NV 2024.12.31 Annual Report and Form 20-F reports the 16% United States increase, without the underlying unit totals.

The German figures come from Jeep’s Jeep mit neuem Rekord bei Neuzulassungen release. The Polish figures come from Marka Jeep kontynuuje wzrosty sprzedaży na polskim rynku, which also reports Polish sales up 23% year over year through April and April sales up 104% year over year.

Brazil’s figures are reported in Jeep Compass segue líder entre os SUVs médios no acumulado de 2024. These are medium-SUV market figures and are not global totals.

Jeep Compass Production and Ownership Scale

Manufacturer-reported cumulative measures show the model’s reach in Brazil and worldwide, but they use different definitions. Brazilian sales are a vehicle count through 2023, whereas the worldwide figure uses “customers” in the announcement of the 2025 model.

  • More than 425,000 Jeep Compass units had been sold in Brazil by 2023, according to Jeep Compass: sete anos na liderança dos SUVs Médios. The exact cutoff date within 2023 is not supplied.
  • The 2023 Brazilian Compass finished 17,000 units ahead of the category’s second-place model, according to the same Stellantis release. The comparison is within Brazil’s medium-SUV category and is a rounded difference.
  • More than 2.5 million customers worldwide had been attracted by the Compass by the 2025 model announcement, according to 2024 Jeep Compass, which reproduces the manufacturer’s model context. The wording refers to customers rather than a separately defined retail-unit count.

These cumulative figures should not be treated as interchangeable: the Brazilian measure is units sold, while the worldwide measure is customers, and the market definitions differ.

Jeep Compass Crash-Test Injury Statistics

The IIHS values below come from a controlled test of a 2022 Jeep Compass Latitude 4WD. They are instrumented-dummy outputs and model-based risk measures, not population injury rates or predictions for every crash.

Test position and measure Result
Driver HIC-15, driver-side small overlap 137
Driver neck tension 1.4 kN
Driver neck extension bending moment 15 Nm
Driver maximum Nij 0.25
Driver chest compression 20 mm
Passenger HIC-15, passenger-side small overlap 130
Passenger neck tension 1.2 kN
Passenger chest compression 31 mm

The driver’s femur forces were 1.5 kN on the left and 1.4 kN on the right, while knee displacement was 4 mm left and 5 mm right. Driver left and right knee-thigh-hip model-based injury-risk values were both 0%, and maximum tibia indexes were 0.52 left and 0.51 right.

The 2024 Jeep Compass IIHS page reports these 2022 test results, with the rating applying to 2022–2026 model years where specified. The measurements describe one tested configuration.

Jeep Compass Crashworthiness and Structural Data

Small-overlap structural measurements describe intrusion or movement at specific locations in the tested occupant compartments. Driver- and passenger-side results are separate observations and should not be interpreted as a single average.

Test side Location Intrusion or movement
Driver Lower hinge-pillar 6 cm
Driver Footrest 6 cm
Driver Left toepan 3 cm
Driver Brake pedal 1 cm
Driver Steering column movement 1 cm
Driver Upper hinge-pillar 8 cm
Driver Upper dash 10 cm
Driver Lower instrument panel 6 cm
Passenger Lower hinge-pillar 8 cm
Passenger Footrest 8 cm
Passenger Right toepan 4 cm
Passenger Center toepan 2 cm
Passenger Center dash 5 cm
Passenger Upper hinge-pillar 11 cm
Passenger Upper dash 8 cm

The 2024 Jeep Compass source identifies these as 2022 driver- and passenger-side small-overlap structural measurements. They are vehicle-test observations, not fleet-wide structural statistics.

Jeep Compass Headlights and Collision-Avoidance Data

IIHS lighting and crash-avoidance results depend on the tested equipment and scenario. The premium LED projector measurements apply to specified lighting trims or packages, while the prevention outcomes come from controlled test runs.

Feature or scenario Result
Premium LED low beam, straightaway right edge 93.6 m at 5-lux threshold
Premium LED high beam, straightaway right edge 173.5 m
Premium LED low beam, 150 m-radius left curve 48.4 m
Premium LED high beam, 150 m-radius left curve 67.0 m
Standard front crash prevention, passenger-car runs 5 of 6 collisions avoided

In the passenger-car tests at 31, 37 and 43 mph, standard front crash prevention avoided five of six collisions; in the 43-mph off-center run, it reduced speed to 38 mph.

Across five motorcycle-target runs with recorded reductions, speed reductions were 22, 18, 28, 19 and 21 mph. One off-center 43-mph motorcycle run was not tested for automatic braking.

For pedestrians, the system avoided the crossing-child collision at 12 mph and reduced impact speed by 12 mph at 25 mph. It avoided both crossing-adult tests at 12 and 25 mph, and for the parallel adult it avoided impact at 25 mph, reduced impact speed by 22 mph at 37 mph, and warned 1.6 seconds before impact.

These results are from the 2024 Jeep Compass IIHS headlight and prevention tests. They do not estimate real-world crash rates or field effectiveness.

Jeep Compass Recall Statistics and Affected Vehicles

NHTSA recall 24V-436 identifies a suspect population from manufacturing records. The affected count is not the number of confirmed component failures, unrepaired vehicles or completed repairs.

  • The recall affected 32,110 model-year 2022–2023 Jeep Compass vehicles in the United States.
  • The suspect-production window ran from February 18, 2021 through August 31, 2023.

  • FCA US began mailing final recall letters for the affected Compass population on July 25, 2024.
  • NHTSA’s recall report lists the Compass as one of 11 vehicle lines in recall 24V-436; the count includes other Stellantis lines.

The details come from NHTSA’s Part 573 Safety Recall Report 24V-436. The notification date does not measure owner response or repair completion.
